Sports Injury Treatment on the Treasure Coast

Built for the Treasure Coast’s Most Active Generation

From professional and collegiate athletes to high school competitors, weekend warriors, and active retirees, the Treasure Coast is home to people who refuse to slow down. Whether you're training for a championship, preparing for your next race, or simply want to enjoy a pain-free round of golf or game of pickleball, injuries shouldn't keep you on the sidelines. Yet many patients wait weeks to see a specialist while their performance—and quality of life—suffers. We built our practice differently. Same-day and next-day appointments, in-office diagnostic ultrasound, and evidence-based treatment plans help you recover faster and return to the activities you love with confidence.

Sports Injuries We Treat

  • Pickleball injuries — tennis elbow, rotator cuff strains, knee pain, Achilles issues
  • Golf injuries — golfer’s elbow, back-of-shoulder pain, hip and wrist problems
  • Tennis injuries — elbow, shoulder, calf strains
  • Muscle strains, ligament sprains, and joint flare-ups after activity
  • Stubborn injuries that never fully healed and flare with every season

Why See a Sports Injury Doctor Instead of Waiting It Out

Two reasons. First, an accurate early diagnosis — strain vs. tear vs. arthritis flare — changes what you should do this week. Second, the “rest until it stops hurting” approach often leads to deconditioning that makes re-injury more likely.

Dr. O’s goal is the safest, fastest path back to your sport, using precise diagnosis, targeted treatment, and a graded return-to-play plan.

Minimal Downtime by Design

Most of our procedures are in-office, ultrasound-guided, and have patients back to light activity within days, not months. That’s the core promise of non-surgical sports medicine.

Answers from Dr. Ogunsola

The questions Treasure Coast patients search most — answered with the same honesty you'll get in the office.

How quickly can I be seen after a sports injury?

Usually same-day or next-day at our Fort Pierce office. Early evaluation often means a faster, safer return to play.

What are the most common pickleball injuries?

Tennis elbow, rotator cuff strains, knee pain and meniscus irritation, calf strains, and Achilles tendon problems. Most respond very well to non-surgical care when treated early.

Do I need an MRI first?

Usually not. In-office diagnostic ultrasound identifies most tendon, ligament, and joint problems at the first visit — and unlike an MRI, it shows the injury in motion. If an MRI is needed, we’ll order one.
